In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. All Praise is due to Allah and salutations and peace upon His Messengers, Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim, Ishmael, Ishaaq, Yaqub, Lut, Yusuf, Yunus, Musa, Haroon, Dawud, Sulaiman and Eesa . And Salutations to the Last and Final Messenger, Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him), his family members and his companions, who sacrificed and dedicated their lives to the cause of Allah – to worship but one God and not to associate partners with Him.

This website is in memory of the Righteous rulers of the Muslim empire and the scholars, engineers, builders, artists and craftsmen who took Islam to great heights, in harmony with nature. Whose sole purpose was to please Allah, the AlMighty, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The Legacy of our heroes can be found from Cordoba, Granada, Fez, Tunis, Istanbul, Cairo, Jerusalem, Damascus, Baghdad, Isfahan to Lahore and Delhi. And let us not forget the Muslim traders and merchants, who were responsible for the spread of Islam in the coastal towns from Africa, South Asia to Malaysia, Indonesia and China and their contribution to the navigation of the seas.

These men became creative and resourceful, inspired by the Holy Quran, the Word of God with such verses among others:

Surah 67:15 – He it is, Who has made the earth subservient to you, so walk in the path thereof and eat of His provision.

Surah 45:5 – In the alternation of night and day, and the provision (rain) that Allah sends down from the sky, and revives therewith the earth after its death, and in the turning about of the winds are signs for a people who understand.

Surah 45:12 – Allah it is He Who has subjected to you the sea, that ships may sail through it by His Command, and that you may seek of His Bounty, and that you may be thankful.

Surah 45:13 – And has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth; it is all as a favour and kindness from Him. Verily, in it are signs for a people who think deeply.

Allah mentions His favours to His creation in subjugating the earth to them, and making it subservient to them. And how resourcefully, His submissive creation subjugated and harnessed the natural resources and the elements, such as earth, air, water and fire, and contributed to science and created some of the wonders of the Islamic world.

These wonders, we will highlight in the website and provide information for visits to some of the marvels first hand. To ascertain the times of the daily five prayers, instruments were designed to determine the time of the day. In a quest to make water available for purification, new techniques were developed to distribute water to the towns and villages. All to glorify the one God, and to seek His pleasure.

The website will focus primarily the Medieval period between the 7th and the 17th century A.D. when Islam spread and flourished far and wide from Spain in the west to Indonesia in the East. We see a Golden Age of accomplishments in science and inventions, literature and philosophy, art and architecture.

We thank Allah, the All-Mighty for His Guidance, His Grace, His Blessings and His Infinite Mercy.
